Mid-Atlantic ATTC
MI Center of Excellence

The Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center is one of fourteen regional centers funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

In 1998, the Mid-Atlantic ATTC established a Center of Excellence in Motivational Interviewing, and since then has provided resources and training to interested clinicians, researchers, and educators in our region and elsewhere. A few of our efforts are highlighted below.

Projects range from brief exposure trainings to an extended series of trainings; from on-line courses to classroom offerings; from products to research projects. Several staff members and affiliated faculty are MINT trainers who conduct trainings and design curriculum for ATTC constituents. Some of our current and recent projects are highlighted below.

These new trainees are now delivering trainings in MI in the Mid-Atlantic region. Dr. William Miller, Dr. Karen Ingersoll and Dr. Chris Wagner provided the training.
